Sample Language for Monetary Gifts

Unrestricted Gift - A gift that can be used where need is greatest:

”I give to the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs, a non-profit 501(c)(3) Corporation, Federal Identification Number 41-2185841, headquartered in Portland, OR, the sum of $_______* for its general purposes.”

* Rather than leaving a sum certain, you can include language that refers to a percentage of your estate or a description of the property you wish to give.

Sample Language for Securities

”I give and bequeath to the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs, a non-profit 501(c)(3) Corporation, Federal Identification Number 41-2185841, headquartered in Portland, OR, the following described securities or other personal property _______________, to be used for its general purposes.”

Sample Language for Real Estate

”I give and bequeath to the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs, a non-profit 501(c)(3) Corporation, Federal Identification Number 41-2185841, headquartered in Portland, OR, the following described real property, _____________, situated in _________County, State of ___________, to use said property and the rents, income or proceeds arising there from or the proceeds of the sale thereof, to be used for its general purposes.”
