Rey Camuta Del Napoles, DVM | Disaster Response and Veterinary Services for Animal Kingdom Foundation

Dr. del Napoles currently Heads the Disaster Response and Veterinary Services for Animal Kingdom Foundation in the Philippines. In 2020 he was elected to a  leadership position on the Council on Technical Standards for Companion Animal Practice for the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association. 

As former Program Manager and Country Director for Humane Society International, Dr. del Napoles has provided spay and neuter trainings to veterinarians in the Philippines as well as in Bhutan, Bangladesh, and India. He has responded to numerous local and international disasters over the past 12 years. In 2013, he led the first team to do rapid assessment and immediate response in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda), known to be one of the most powerful cyclones ever recorded. In 2020 he led planning and coordination of the disaster response following the eruption of Taal Volcano.  

For more than 10 years Dr. del Napoles has taken an active role in spay and neuter drives in different parts of the Philippines, as well as in campaigning for and implementing a comprehensive approach to rabies eradication. His passion to address pet overpopulation is a big part of his private practice. For over 20 years, Dr. del Napoles has offered low-cost spay/neuter services to pet owners.
